On Dec. 16, 1944, the German army launched a massive surprise offensive into the Ardennes forest in Belgium which became known as “The Battle of the Bulge.” The battle, would become the largest American engagement of the war — and the bloodiest — resulting in nearly 20,000 U.S. troops killed over a five week period, and 23,000 U.S. soldiers captured and became Prisoners of war.

The major function of Rolling Thunder® Inc., is to publicize the POW*MIA issue. To educate the public that many American Prisoners of War were left behind after all previous wars and to help correct the past and to protect future Veterans from being left behind should they become Prisoners Of War (POW) or Missing In Action (MIA). We are also committed to helping American Veterans from all wars.
Our members donate their time and resources because they believe in the POW*MIA Issue.
We support our troops and remind everyone to wear RED on Friday's as a tribute to those deployed brave souls and to all military members and their families.
